Attorney General William Barr appoints U.S. Attorney John Durham to investigate origins of Russian probe
Attorney General William Barr today appointed
John H. Durham the United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut to investigate the origins of the Russia Collusion probe. Attorney Durham is known as a hard hitting and straight career
attorney who will not allow political considerations to guide his investigation. Prior to his appointment as U.S. Attorney, Mr. Durham served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in various positions in the
District of Connecticut for 35 years, prosecuting organized crime, violent crime, public corruption and financial fraud matters.
It has been reported that Durham has since January been investigating FBI lawyer James Baker for leaking to the media.
