Jeffrey Epstein arrested for sex trafficking of minors in Florida and New York.

Jeffrey Epstein

Investment manager Jeffrey Epstein was arrested Saturday, 6th July 2019, on federal charges related to sex trafficking. The arrest comes amid renewed scrutiny of a once-secret plea deal due to a lawsuit by Mike Cernovich that sought to unseal the summary judgment record. If Mr. Cernovich had not filed this lawsuit, later joined by Alan Dershowitz and then the Miami Herald, it is unlikely that these recent developments would have occurred.

In 2007 the sun drenched prospects from Jeffrey Epstein's Florida waterfront mansion were looking somewhat bleaker as staring him in the face was the prospect of a future behind the stark walls of a prison cell. Epstein, facing a 53 page indictment was a man waiting for a hurricane to hit, except like so many in our two tiered justice system, not only had he friends in high places, but some of these friends in high places had availed themselves of the services available at Epstein's low places. Alexander Acosta, appointed by President George W. Bush to the National Labor Relations Board, subsequently serving as Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights and U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida not only gave Epstein a 'sweethert' deal, but ....gave a serial sex abuser the deal of a lifetime.

From the linked article above, "Facing a 53 page federal indictment, Epstein could have ended up in federal prison for the rest of his life. But on the morning of the breakfast meeting, a deal was struck — an extraordinary plea agreement that would conceal the full extent of Epstein’s crimes and the number of people involved. Not only would Epstein serve just 13 months in the county jail, but the deal — called a non-prosecution agreement — essentially shut down an ongoing FBI probe into whether there were more victims and other powerful people who took part in Epstein’s sex crimes, according to a Miami Herald examination of thousands of emails, court documents and FBI records. The pact required Epstein to plead guilty to two prostitution charges in state court. Epstein and four of his accomplices named in the agreement received immunity from all federal criminal charges. But even more unusual, the deal included wording that granted immunity to “any potential co-conspirators’’ who were also involved in Epstein’s crimes. These accomplices or participants were not identified in the agreement, leaving it open to interpretation whether it possibly referred to other influential people who were having sex with underage girls at Epstein’s various homes or on his plane.

As part of the arrangement, Acosta agreed, despite a federal law to the contrary, that the deal would be kept from the victims. As a result, the non-prosecution agreement was sealed until after it was approved by the judge, thereby averting any chance that the girls — or anyone else — might show up in court and try to derail it.

This is the story of how Epstein, bolstered by unlimited funds and represented by a powerhouse legal team, was able to manipulate the criminal justice system, and how his accusers, still traumatized by their pasts, believe they were betrayed by the very prosecutors who pledged to protect them
". Epstein's thirteen month 'prison sentence' was a sham not only because of it's length, but that he was allowed each day to go to his office and return 'home' each night where he was presumably served a cup of cocoa and tucked in for the night.

Although evidence does not yet confirm if Epstein's bargain basement plea deal was due to him being a federal witness in the corporate securities fraud prosecution of two executives with Bear Stearns, the global investment brokerage that failed in 2008, the dropping of 36 counts of child trafficking and charge of two counts of prostitution would scarcely give justice to the girls who were the victims of this vile man and his perverted accomplices. It is clear that the two tiered justice system, which is rapidly becoming corrupt to the core, has again failed the most vulnerable of society and sacrificed them in a cover up to shield the powerful.

This is not an issue that should divide along party lines. The Light of Justice must disperse equally through the left and right of the political prizm. Who cannot want an end to human trafficking, child abduction and child sex rings. Paedophilia must never be normalized.

This is simply good versus evil.
