President Trump kicks off 2020 Campaign with Massive Rally in Orlando.

Massive Trump Rally in Orlando

Though Florida did not live up to it's sobriquet of the Sunshine State, the cool and wet conditions did little to dampen the enthusiasm of 20,000 raucous and highly motivated supporters, some of whom had waited in line for 48 hours just to be part of the Official Launch of the Trump-Pence 2020 Re-Election Campaign. In the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida, President Trump and Vice-President Pence kicked off their 2020 Campaign in scenes hitherto unseen in modern political times, with an estimated 100,000 disappointed applicants. Presidents who are two years into their first term are not supposed to conjure up high levels of enthusiam. Perhaps the Trump magic wand can do more than bring back jobs.

Prior to introducing the 45th President of the United States, Vice-President Mike Pence gave a strong, well delivered and uplifting speech, quickly laying out his stall..... "But we're here for one reason and one reason only. America needs four more years of President Donald Trump", continuing that this is "not just be a choice of two candidates, but a choice of two futures".

President Trump did not disappoint. "2016 was not just another four year election. It was a defining moment in American History". Even speaking to 20,000 people he managed to make every person in the arena feel he was talking directly to them. Although there was disappointment that De Santis, Graham and Rubio did not speak, the crowd got an opportunity to show their feelings for Sarah Huckabee Sanders who provided poignancy as she struggled to keep her emotions in check when called upon to speak. The President may have started a ball rolling that even Mrs. Sanders can't stop......Sarah Huckabee Sanders for Governor of Arkansas.

It is clear that President Trump has an appeal unlike any other before him and though all future rallies will not match last night's magnitude, there is no doubt the level of support, enthusiasm and most importantly, belief in President Trump will. This level of support must be worrisome for the Democratic party whose candidates rallies can barely manage a quorum.

President Trump's warning of what a Democratic victory in 2020 would mean for the freedoms that this country is struggling to retain should oft be repeated between now and November 3rd, 2020. We must ensure we move forward to the best of times and not allow the Democratic political machine crush our freedoms and drag us into the worst of times.
